Care Groups

A Care Group is a small group of believers committed to help each other grow in gospel centered faith and life. Groups meet three times a month to worship together, pray for one another, apply gospel-centered truth, and "stir up one another to love and good works" (Heb. 10:25).

Older kids are encouraged to join 119, our parent-youth ministry that functions as a Care Group for kids in their teens. Due to the type of personal openness, sharing, and challenge that we pursue during a Care Group meeting, it would not frequently be appropriate for younger children to attend. So, we ask that parents within the Church share the joy of child care so that all adults are able to participate without distraction or inhibition.

The pastors consider the Care Groups to be a primary context for their pastoral care, and the Care Group leaders to be an extension of the pastoral team. Since that’s the case, everyone who is a member of TFC should be a member of a care group as well. As the Care Group ministry model has strengthened, it is clear that people are increasingly eager to get involved.

This year's main focus will be developing and deeping our devotion to Christ. The groups will be employing an R-M-M-R (Read - Meditate - Memorize - Repeat) method to accomplish these goals. Fellowship and Evangelism Pastor Steve Cassarino has developed a comprehensive plan for the year that will take readers through the New Testament twice. Groups will focus on a specific passage for a month at a time, and members will be encouraged to memorize a key verse or two from that passage. The reading plan is available here and will be updated on a weekly basis.
