Men Ahead

TFC’s pastoral team is excited to lead the men of TFC toward spiritual maturity. We believe that one of the greatest needs in the church is to have strong, mature Christian men who lead the way. Our sisters in Christ are most blessed when their brothers are serving and leading well in the home and in the church by exemplifying godly character and by taking spiritual initiative. Male-mediocrity is widespread in many churches today, and can only be remedied by applying the Gospel through discipleship and fellowship.

With that as the goal, we use a variety of methods to minister to TFC’s men in the various stages of their spiritual experience:

Men Ahead

Men meet once a month over breakfast to fellowship and to hear teaching relating to biblical masculinity. Teaching is done by TFC’s pastors as well as frequent guest speakers.

PURSUE

There is a need in the church to train men who have proven character and gifts to lead so that those abilities can be used to their full potential. TFC has developed the PURSUE course to fill that need. Men who are observed to have the gifts and character to play such diverse roles as pastor or children’s ministry leader may be invited to join this course to pursue their gifts with added focus and prayer.

Leadership Enrichment

We make a commitment to provide for the ongoing enrichment of our leading men through pastoral relationships and church-provided books, retreats, conferences, etc.
