Our Statement of Faith
This list represents a summary of our core beliefs. For a more comprehensive description, check out our full statement of faith. Have questions? You can email a pastor.
The Bible as God's Word
We believe that the Bible is inspired by God and as a result is true for all time, without error in the original manuscripts, and is trustworthy today.
The Holy Trinity
We believe that God is Three in One – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Father
We believe that God the Father is eternally God, the almighty Creator, the sovereign Ruler of the world, our holy Judge, the initiator of our Salvation, and our caring Provider throughout life.
The Son
We believe that God the Son is Jesus Christ who is eternally God. He became the son of a virgin so that he could be our sinless Sacrifice for sin, our Substitute, the risen Lord, and our coming King.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is eternally God, the Father and the Son’s gift to us. He is the one who convicts, who gives life and power to everyone who believes.
A Fallen Humanity
We believe that all humans have fallen which means that they are distorted reflections of God’s image, that they are disobedient to his law, they are sinners by nature and by choice, and as a result are separated from God.
Redemption
We believe that, by his death, Jesus ended God’s wrath towards us for our sin, and that, by his resurrection, he secured both the hope of heaven and the grace to live changed lives for us.
Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift and, as a result, cannot be partially or entirely earned by any effort on our part. Instead, it is given and received through a powerful work of God that brings us to repent of sin, and to have faith in who Jesus is and what only he accomplished in redemption.
The Universal Church
We believe that the church was established by God and was initiated by Jesus so that it could serve God’s cause and would impact the world by the Spirit’s power in local congregations.
The Ordinances of the Church
We believe that Jesus mandated that Christians be baptized in the church and that they frequently observe Communion.
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that the Holy Spirit is active today and that he reveals God’s active presence through all of the various spiritual gifts.
